Operating a commercial truck fleet in Belgium requires strict adherence to European tachograph regulations under Regulation (EU) No 165/2014. Keep in mind that international transport operators will face additional requirements in the coming years: a full upgrade to smart tachograph 2nd generation must be completed by August of 2025. Starting July 2026, even lighter commercial vehicles over 2.5 t used internationally must be equipped with smart tachograph 2nd generation.
